Getting back into it

What is up everyone,

It has certainly been a while since I have posted a blog on here and I feel terrible (not that many people read my sh*t anyway haha). I am going to be posting a lot more and doing a better job of setting reminders to get on here and write a blog. I do all this stuff outside of work and buy tech that I need to share these experiences with you.

I am going to be changing a few things on my website and I think this will help with future posts/pictures/videos I share.

Just Pre-Ordered the PlayStation Classic!

Finally back in stock is the PlayStation Classic. I never owned a PS1, but my buddy did, and we spent hours playing during the week. Honestly, I can’t even tell you what all the games were, but I know we played Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid.

The first 5 games are eh in my opinion, but I am excited to play them and see how they aged. I hope they announce another 5 games this month or all the games soon.

Going back to the system itself: I could care-less if it came with a wall charger since my TV has a USB port on it and I have a bunch of plugs laying around I could use. (I don’t see this as a big issue really for anyone.) I do wish there was the ability to add more games to it down the road through the internet, but it apparently does not have that functionality. It also apparently does not support new controllers and the one that comes with it is NOT a dualshock controller. Those were introduced later in the PlaySrtation life cycle.

Review of Sony’s E3 Press Conference

Sony opened up this E3 conference inside a church, yes, a church. I don’t think anyone had a clue as to why they chose a church, but they did. They started the show by bringing out Gustavo Santaolalla to play some music from The Last of Us Part 2. After a few minutes of that, Sony jumped right into a deep trailer for the game (around 11 minutes). There was an intermission for about 10-15 minutes, but we did get to watch some more gameplay trailers in the meantime.

This conference, like last years, was all about the games. Before E3 even started, we were told that they would be only showing 4 big title games and a few third-party games (that’s exactly what they did). Even though they only showed off a handful of games, I think they nailed it. All 4 of the big game titles had lengthy trailers (The last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Ashisha, Death Stranding, and Spiderman), and they added some third party surprises in as well. One criticism I had (this was a complaint last year) was on the release dates. Not a lot of the games they showed had definitive release dates.

Every game they mentioned and showed I was interested in. I was really impressed with the Resident Evil 2 Remake trailer. I never played the original, so I wasn’t as excited as those people were, but I will definitely have to pick this one up. I was a huge fan of Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube; I even purchased it on the PlayStation 4, if that matters.

There was another surprise in the showing, and that was this new game called Control, by Remedy and 505 Games. All I have to say is, that game looked awesome! Not many details about it yet, but I’m sure there will be in no time. If details drop about this game or another I will be sure to write about it here, so make sure you subscribe to stay up to date on all of my content.

I’ll post more blogs relating to certain games when they get closer to their respective release date. Comment and share below!

If you missed it, I included almost all of the trailers, plus the full press conference below.
