Review of Sony’s E3 Press Conference

Sony opened up this E3 conference inside a church, yes, a church. I don’t think anyone had a clue as to why they chose a church, but they did. They started the show by bringing out Gustavo Santaolalla to play some music from The Last of Us Part 2. After a few minutes of that, Sony jumped right into a deep trailer for the game (around 11 minutes). There was an intermission for about 10-15 minutes, but we did get to watch some more gameplay trailers in the meantime.

This conference, like last years, was all about the games. Before E3 even started, we were told that they would be only showing 4 big title games and a few third-party games (that’s exactly what they did). Even though they only showed off a handful of games, I think they nailed it. All 4 of the big game titles had lengthy trailers (The last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Ashisha, Death Stranding, and Spiderman), and they added some third party surprises in as well. One criticism I had (this was a complaint last year) was on the release dates. Not a lot of the games they showed had definitive release dates.

Every game they mentioned and showed I was interested in. I was really impressed with the Resident Evil 2 Remake trailer. I never played the original, so I wasn’t as excited as those people were, but I will definitely have to pick this one up. I was a huge fan of Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube; I even purchased it on the PlayStation 4, if that matters.

There was another surprise in the showing, and that was this new game called Control, by Remedy and 505 Games. All I have to say is, that game looked awesome! Not many details about it yet, but I’m sure there will be in no time. If details drop about this game or another I will be sure to write about it here, so make sure you subscribe to stay up to date on all of my content.

I’ll post more blogs relating to certain games when they get closer to their respective release date. Comment and share below!

E3 Reviews are coming!

What’s up everyone, sorry about the delay in getting these reviews up from E3. It has been a crazy week and I haven’t had much time (I did finally finish Detroit: Become Human).

Over the weekend I will wrap up all the posts and videos I am working on about E3. I will have probably one PlayStation video up on YouTube by the end of the weekend along with at least 4-5 blog posts.

Once again I am sorry about the delay but don’t worry, the content is coming!

Don’t forget to comment, like, and subscribe to the blog and YouTube channel. If you like my content please take a look at my Patreon page so I can continue to do these posts and videos for you guys.

Excited for E3 2018!

Whats up everyone,

E3 is here and I’m truly pumped! I am excited to see what specifically Sony, Nintendo, and Bethesda has to offer for this year’s E3 conference. I will cover all of the press conferences mentioned above and try to cover all the games individually that are announced. I will also work on videos so I can upload them to YouTube for all of you!

Just ordered the PS VR!

So tonight I ordered the PS VR. I was going back and forth about buying it but finally decided to pull the trigger. I bought it online and it should be here by the end of the week. I still have the original PS4 so I was undecided if I wanted the VR headset or update to the PS4 Pro. Maybe later on I’ll update to the Pro or the Pro slim if Sony releases it. Right now I am content with my original PS4. After I saw the games at E3 this year and the games out right now for VR, it was worth buying and jumping into the VR world.
I will post more about the headset and games when I get it in. I will also do an unboxing video!

Let me know in the comments below what you think about VR!

Review of Sony’s E3 Press Conference

Sony opened up with the show with some sweet music and visuals, granted probably unnecessary but a pleasant addition. Their E3 press conference was all about the games though. Shawn Layden made an appearance only twice during the shorter than usual presentation. (Granted it was shorter than other years but I thought the games they showcased were very good, even the VR stuff). They started off strong and it got somewhat weak in the middle but they ended it strong with a lengthy Spiderman demo. One criticism I have is on the release dates. Not a lot of the games they showed are coming out this year and some didn’t even have a release date shown, so that’s frustrating.

There’s been a lot of criticism about the Spiderman game after yesterday because of all the quick time events, but to me, it’s just like playing Uncharted. I thought the gameplay looked awesome and graphics were top notch.

The games I’m most excited for are Spiderman, Days Gone, and of course God of War. Detroit: Become human looks intriguing but need to see more gameplay and what exactly you do in the game. Shadow of the Colossus is a classic and I definitely will play it again in full HD.

I’ll post more blogs relating to certain games when they get closer to their respective release date. Comment and share below!
